As a practicing professional counselor for over 15 years, I take great pride in helping people develop the emotional and practical tools necessary to navigate the complexities of daily living. I welcome individuals( children, adolescents, adults), couples and families. I offer hope, compassion and professional expertise in an environment that is warm, safe, confidential, non-judgemental, and that supports individual growth.

I also specialize in social issues, self image and body image issues, mood disorders, low self esteem, difficulty with communication, troubles with problem-solving and decision -making, parent guidance and support and school consultation and advocacy.

My extensive training allows me to assist individuals, couples, or groups with a diverse range of treatment focuses. I largely practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which essentially focuses on how alterations of unhelpful thinking can have significant and meaningful effects on behavior and emotion.

Individual Therapy

The most common form of professional assistance. A therapist works one-on-one with the client using a variety of treatment methods to sort out problems and find resolutions.

Family Counseling

A type of counseling provided to two or more family members to assist a troubled individual and/or promote better functioning of the family unit. The interaction among family members often serves as the key to resolving conflicts.

Couples Therapy

Helps couples understand how to listen and communicate effectively in a manner that is conducive to each individual and the partnership in order to resolve conflict. The goal is to develop a more rewarding relationship.

Appointments, Fees & Insurance

Office Location & Hours

Sessions are conveniently located off Exit 35 on I-95. My studio is situated on a marina looking out onto the water for a soothing and calming environment.

Currently accepting new clients. Date and time of introductory session as well as treatment plan will be decided collectively upon our initial discussion.

Fees & Insurance

The normal fee for a 60-minute individual or couple session is $200.00. A sliding scale fee can be provided for clients with limited financial circumstances. I am a Connecticut State Licensed, board certified Professional Counselor(LPC). I am accepted by most insurance carriers as an Out-of Network provider. Please review your benefits package to see if you are covered. I will provide either weekly or monthly statements for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
